Information on the Large-Scale Earthquake and on the
Reconstruction of the Internet in Taiwan
A large-scale earthquake hit central Taiwan on September 21. A Number
of people were either killed or injured in this disaster, and it
caused severe damage on the Internet infrastructuer in Taiwan.
JPNIC expresses its sorrow at the tragic loss of life in Taiwan.
On September 28, APNIC(Asia Pacific Network Information Center), the
regional Internet registry for the Asia Pacific, has posted on its
website information on the earthquake and on how to support
reconstruction in Taiwan.
