Dear Readers,

In Special Article 1, we give you an overview of Internet Week 2024, which was held from November 19 (Tue.) to November 27 (Wed.), 2024. Internet Week is an event where people involved in the research and development, construction, operation, and services of Internet-related technologies gather to learn, discuss, and deepen their understanding and exchange of basic knowledge and the latest trends in infrastructure technologies for the Internet and related fields. Its theme was "Connect, Expand and Enjoy!". The objective of Internet Week 2024 was to provide a place where many people involved in the Internet could gather, expand their connections, connect their fragmented knowledge and experience the joy of creating new value through those connections. We believed it is important to broaden our perspectives and create crossovers between fields, and that was what we aim to do. There were so many participants in both Online Week and Conference Week, and they appeared to enjoy meeting each other in person.

Introducing JPNIC Members focuses on a particular JPNIC member engaged in interesting activities. This time, we visited UNIADEX, Ltd., headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo. The company was founded in 1997 and has been providing Internet access services since then, making it one of the best-established companies in the industry. As a multi-vendor, they combine a wide variety of products to provide solutions that suit their customers, drawing on the experience and know-how they have accumulated over the years, and have earned tremendous trust from their customers. Their managed services based on their network construction service have been well received, and they are handling even more detailed operations. They are planning to continue expanding the managed services they offer. Their cloud services with the additional ability to provide ransomware protection for data in on-premise environments have also been popular recently. We are very impressed by their statement that they conduct their business according to the action guideline "To benefit the customer the most".
