背景

ICANNにおけるIDNの統合パネル(専門家委員会)は、ルートゾーンおよびトップレベルドメインに登録できる文字(例：日本語)を定義するための統合されたラベル生成ルールの策定を目指しています。

日本のコミュニティがIDNの作業に寄与し、価値のある意見を伝えていただくことは重要であり、 IDNに関する作業に役立つことになるとともに、日本語に関する日本の皆様の利害が保護されることにつながります。

The Integration Panel is looking to create an integrated Label Generation Ruleset that determines the characters (e.g. Japanese) that could be entered into the root zone as top-level domains.

It is therefore critical that the community participates and provide valuable inputs into the IDN work so as to understand the impacts and ensure that the interests of the Japanese　language is taken care off.

You are cordially invited to attend a workshop organised by ICANN on the Japanese Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) on the 8th of May 14:00-16:00 at JPNIC office (https://www.nic.ad.jp/ja/profile/map.html). ICANN will be sharing with the community on the development of Internationalised Domain Names (IDN) in Japanese and its impact on you and your business. At the same time, we are looking to seek feedback and comments from the community on IDN and related matters.

We are honoured to have one of ICANN Board Member, Mr Wu Kuo-Wei to join us during the session. Mr Wu is an well-known and respected expert on IDN. At the same time, we have Mr Wil Tan, a member of the IDN Integration Panel to share with us first-hand information on the work of the Integration Panel with respect to IDN. The Integration Panel is looking to create an integrated Label Generation Ruleset that determines the characters (e.g. Japanese) that could be entered into the root zone as top-level domains. It is therefore critical that the community participates and provide valuable inputs into the IDN work so as to understand the impacts and ensure that the interests of the Japanese language is taken care off.
