This document is valid from 29 January 2000.
This document explains the modification process for cases where the
organization name address and administrative contact are changed after
IP addresses have been assigned.
Read the following document thoroughly when filling in the
Network-Information Modification Form, to avoid making mistakes:

Please note that the name of each item in a form is described in
Japanese and there is no request form in English.

1. Network-information modification process
When there is a change in the organization name, address or
administrative contact after IP addresses have been assigned, you must
follow the network-information modification process explained here.
Refer to the following document when there is a change in the personal
information including division/TEL No./mail address of the
administrative contact or the technical contact:
"JPNIC Registration Form Filling-in Method"
To modify the network-information, submit the Network-Information
Modification Form by E-mail or post. We cannot accept submissions by
fax. E-mail is preferred.

※If sending by post, write "Network-Information Modification Form
enclosed" on the envelope in red ink, enclose a stamped addressed
envelope, and send it to the address given below. The stamped
addressed envelope is used to send back the notice.
When making a request by post, it takes longer to input the
information after the form reaches JPNIC, and so it will take a few
more days to process compared with a request by E-mail.

・To return all addresses that you have currently been assigned and to request assignment of new addresses:

・To change some other item of network-information or register personal information:

2. Handling of request
When the request is accepted, JPNIC registers the information given in
the form in the JPNIC database. JPNIC has the right to disclose the
registered information.
Note that if there are any omissions or unclear descriptions in the
form, JPNIC can not accept the request.
If a false description or request is discovered, JPNIC will regard the
request as invalid.
3. Checking JPNIC database registration information
JPNIC database registration information can be checked as follows.
Checking using whois:
whois -h whois.nic.ad.jp XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
(IP Network Address)
Searching using JPNIC's website at:
